Arrival at Kilimanjaro airport and drive to Arusha: Distance: 57Km | Travel Time: 1 hour.

Your journey begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a warm welcome awaits you. From here, you’ll be transferred to your comfortable lodge in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s national parks. Take some time to relax and prepare for the adventures ahead. If time permits, enjoy a leisurely walk around the lush gardens of your lodge or explore the vibrant markets of Arusha, where you can find local crafts and fresh produce.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Land of Giants

After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and towering baobab trees. As you traverse the park’s scenic landscapes, you’ll have the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, lions, and leopards. The Tarangire River, a lifeline during the dry season, attracts numerous animals, creating perfect opportunities for wildlife viewing. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, before returning to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Today, embark on a scenic drive from Tarangire or Karatu via Ngorongoro conservation area to the legendary Serengeti National Park, known for its vast savannahs and incredible wildlife.

The Serengeti National Park, renowned for its vast open plains and abundant wildlife, offers one of the most spectacular safari experiences in the world. From the iconic African sunrise to the thrilling encounters with the Big five and the breathtaking landscapes. Along the way, you’ll pass through local villages and rolling landscapes, giving you a glimpse of rural Tanzania. Upon entering the Serengeti, the adventure truly begins as you embark on an afternoon game drive. Keep your camera ready for encounters with lions, cheetahs, elephants, and possibly even the Great Migration if you’re traveling during the right season. After a thrilling day, settle into your lodge or tented camp, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3&4: Serengeti National Park Full Day

These two days in the Serengeti is an unforgettable adventure. After breakfast your guide will drive you through prime wildlife areas, explaining the behavior and ecology of the animals you encounter. Early morning is also ideal for birdwatching, as many species are most active during this time. Look out for secretary birds striding across the plains and colorful lilac-breasted rollers perched on acacia trees.

In the afternoon, pause for a relaxing picnic lunch at one of the park’s designated picnic sites. This break gives you a chance to stretch your legs and take in the panoramic views of the Serengeti. As you dine on freshly prepared food, watch for animals that may wander close, such as curious gazelles or a parade of elephants passing in the distance. After lunch as the afternoon heat sets in, many animals retreat to shady spots or watering holes. This is an excellent opportunity to visit these areas and observe wildlife behavior.

As the day winds down, find a picturesque spot for a Serengeti sundowner. Enjoy refreshments and light snacks as you watch the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange, pink, and purple.

After the sun has set, head back to your lodge or camp. During the drive, you may spot nocturnal animals beginning their nightly activities, such as hyenas, jackals, and owls. Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – A Natural Wonderland

Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you’ll be transferred to your beach resort, depending on your location—whether it’s Nungwi in the north, Kendwa on the western shores, or Paje on the southeast—you’ll be greeted by breathtaking ocean views and powdery white sand beaches. where relaxation and luxury await.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you may be fortunate to catch a breathtaking view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest peak in Africa. Our friendly transfer team will warmly welcome you and escort you to your accommodation located on the serene outskirts of Arusha Town. Here, you can unwind in the comfort of your spacious room or take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, offering the perfect opportunity to relax and rejuvenate after your journey.

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Distance: 130Km | Travel Time: 2.5 hours

After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you up and embark on an exciting journey to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s largest and most captivating wildlife reserves. Known for its vast herds of elephants, iconic tree-climbing lions, and the majestic baobab trees, Tarangire is a haven for nature enthusiasts. The park’s defining feature is the Tarangire River, a lifeline for wildlife during the dry season.

Spend the day immersed in the park’s unique landscapes, observing a wide array of wildlife in their natural habitat. After an exhilarating game drive, your guide will take you to your lodge inside the park (4-star and 5-star accommodations) or Karatu town for a delicious dinner and a restful night.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Distance: 305Km | Travel Time: 4 hours

After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards Serengeti National Park, traveling through the never-ending plains. The Serengeti is one of the most impressive wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a picnic lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Expect to see vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and possibly a pride of lions lounging in the shade. The eventful day ends with a delicious dinner and a good night’s rest at your lodge.

Wildlife Highlights: Wildebeest migration, zebra, lion, leopard, elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo, cheetah, gazelle, giraffe, spotted hyena, jackal, Aardwolf, Serval, Agama lizard, rock hyrax, secretary bird, ostrich, black eagle. The Serengeti is the most visited park in Tanzania, famous for its massive migration of ungulates and home to over 500 bird species.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park Full Day

A full day is dedicated to game viewing in Serengeti National Park. Your guide will take you to the best spots to observe elephants, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and more. The Seronera Valley offers fantastic game viewing all year round. The Serengeti is also home to the largest animal migration on the planet.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park Half Day – Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Distance: 160Km | Travel Time: 3 hours

After breakfast, enjoy a half-day game drive in Serengeti National Park before heading towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, you’ll spot thousands of animals in herds, including wildebeest, zebras, elephants, and giraffes. Keep an eye out for predators such as cheetahs, leopards, and lions. Dinner and overnight will be on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari Full Day – Karatu/Mto wa Mbu

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World. This unique ecosystem is home to over 120 species of mammals, including the Big Five. The crater is one of the best places to see the endangered black rhino and large pods of hippos. After an exciting game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before heading to Karatu town or Mto wa Mbu for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Manyara – Return to Arusha

We pick you up from your hotel and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park derives its name from the Maasai word “Manyara,” referring to the Euphorbia tirucalli plant used for livestock enclosures. Lake Manyara is a paradise for birdwatchers, with over 400 recorded species. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions and large-tusked elephants.

After lunch, we will leave the park and pass by a Maasai Boma, where you can experience traditional Maasai culture, before returning to Arusha, marking the end of your incredible family safari adventure.
